About me
Hey, I'm Phil
Solo developer from the UK, and the one-person crew behind Double Edge Gaming.
Welcome to my little corner of the game development universe! I've been on an exciting game development journey over the past few years, bringing ideas to life with Unreal Engine 5.
My goal is to create fun, accessible and easy-to-pick-up 3D PC games that are packed with personality, satisfying gameplay and plenty of reasons to keep coming back. I like big, chunky machines — submarines, garbage trucks and battleships on tank treads — and systems you can tinker with: loadouts, upgrades and builds that make every run feel like yours.
How I work
- Playable early, playable often. Vertical slices and development builds go up on itch.io so you can play long before release.
- Built in the open. Every meaningful change gets a devlog here and on itch.io, plus clips on YouTube and X.
- Feedback-driven. Each game has its own Discord where ideas and bug reports shape the next update.
- Systems first. Unreal Engine 5 with a C++-led architecture, so features scale as the games grow.
Goals
Get Total Garbage ready for launch on Steam and the Epic Games Store, keep pushing Deep Vector deeper, and one day grow Battle Fortress Terra into the full multiplayer experience it deserves — bigger battles, more possibilities and plenty of explosive potential.

- Current primary developmentTotal GarbageA chill 3D driving sim about building a waste-collection empire. Drive, collect, dump, upgrade, repeat — then push into new districts with bigger trucks and bigger loads.Explore
- Vertical slice out nowDeep VectorA tactical 3D submarine combat RPG. Track enemies on sonar, outmanoeuvre them in momentum-heavy duels and strip their wrecks for parts to build a deadlier boat.Explore
- The dream projectBattle Fortress TerraA 6v6 team arena shooter where you don't drive a war machine — you are one. Design a thousands-of-tonnes battle fortress, then shoot your enemies apart one component at a time.Explore
Let's connect
Fellow devs & playtesters welcome
I'm always keen to meet fellow developers and see what everyone else is creating — show me your games and I'll happily check them out too. I'm also looking for playtesters who'll jump in and share honest feedback, and in return I'm more than happy to help test your projects.
Keep creating, keep experimenting, and most importantly, keep having fun!
